Q.G.B.O.T.A. MARCH 2006 REPORT
|
Grading System.
It has now been some months since submissions were called for proposed amendments to the Grading System, and to date we have had no response from the GRA.
This matter will be on the agenda for discussion with the Board at their next Board meeting on the 29th March 2006.
Swabbing Policy.
The GRA placed a Draft Drug Control Policy on their internet site for consideration by all Licensees..the closing date for submissions was the 21st January 2006.
The QGBOTA submitted a response strongly recommending the introduction of Random Swabs to be selected in a public forum…this recommended format conforms with the recommendations of the ICAC inquiry into the fraudulent swabbing procedures carried out in NSW.
There has been no response from the GRA in relation to the finalization of the Drug Control Policy…We will be discussed this matter with the Gra Board at their next meeting on 29th March 2006.
General Manager Appointment..Albion Park Club
Congratulations to Luke Gatehouse on his appointment as general manager of the Albion Park club. This association would like to develop a good working relationship with Luke especially in the programming of the maiden races.
General Manager Appointment..Gold Coast Club.
Congratulation to Graham Jupp on his re-appointment as the General Manager of the Gold Coast club for a further term of Two Years….I believe that Graham was disappointed that his request for a Five year contract was rejected by the club.
